Fun on Ice...
My mom and I took the kids to see Disney on Ice this Saturday. We met Bridget and the clan (Greggie, Dominick and Angel) and had a wonderful time! The show was a combination of several Disney movies..The Lion King, Lilo and Stitch, The Little Mermaid, and Peter Pan.
I thought that they were all great..Andy liked the Lion King the best, I enjoyed Lilo and Stitch, while Ava loved Peter Pan the most because of, who else, Tinkerbell!! They actually flew through the air... it was magical!
Of course as soon as you walk in they have about a million souvenir stands..with nothing under $12..but my kids gravitated directly to the $22 dollar items!! So we negotiated. Andy picked a Mickey Mouse hat with ears that lit up..very cute, and Ava picked a Little Mermaid figurine (lots of glitter that falls off EVERYWHERE).
At the intermission, Andy decided to trade in the hat for a sword from Peter Pan..lovely. Bridget's kiddos got the Flotsam and Jetsam (remember them from the Little Mermaid, Ursala's meanie sidekicks?) binoculars and a sword. Everyone sat, for the most part, and seemed to really enjoy the show.
Afterwards, Nana, Bridget and I took the kids for lunch at Perkins. We really had a wonderful afternoon together!!
