Okay, really??

I can't believe how much snow we are getting! Schools are closed today and who knows about tomorrow. I shoveled the sidewalks and porches about 2 hours ago and they are all snow covered and drifted over already..crap! Tim came home over lunch to plow the driveway so that it won't be so difficult tonight. We have another 7-8 inches and it keeps coming down! It is very pretty, but a pain. Ava's playhouse has all but disappeared and the poor birdhouse has two and a half feet of snow on top of it!!

So, what else is there to do with a day home with the kids, bake banana chocolate chip bread...the house smells so good!!

Recipe for the bread (Super Simple):

2 1/3 C. biscuit mix (such as Bisquick)

1 C. sugar

1 tsp. cinnamon

3 large, ripe bananas (mashed)

3 large eggs

1/2 C. chocolate chips (or more!)

1/3 C. vegetable oil

1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Generously butter or spray 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan. Mix all of the above ingredients until fully combined and pour into loaf pan. Bake until wooden toothpick comes out clean (about 1 hour). Enjoy while watching more snow fall (and then you can work it off by shoveling!!)
