{ A Visit to the Children's Museum }

On June 22, 2011 I decided to take the kids to the Hertitage Discovery Center and Children's Museum to spend the afternoon.  We live so close to the center, but just have never made it there.  We had a great time.  The Heritage Center allows you to use a swipe card to choose an imigrant to "follow" through the center and live his or her experiences.  It was really interesting.  The Children's Museum was great as well, with a lot of hands-on activities, including water tables, blocks, a kitchen, "fishing" for magnetic fish, and slides.  There was also an outdoor garden, and my friend Ellen Singleton was there to show us some really neat plants, and the kids each got to pick one to bring home.  Andy choose a liverwart plant and Ava got a milkweed plant.  We had a great time!
