In September, I had the great fortune to attend a leadership conference at AOTA headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland.  I had to submit an essay, my resume, and a strong letter of recommendation and was one of 17 participants selected from over 85 applicants in the country!  It was held September 9-11, 2012.  There were many great speakers, including the current presidnet of AOTA, Dr. Florence Clark, who was exceptionally interesting, and Dr. Ginny Stoffel, who will be the next president of AOTA.  I even had the opportunity to have drinks with Ginny (and she sat with us at breakfast too!)  Tim came with me and used his time running in the hotel and once in the city...to a Build-A-Bear workshop to get Beanie Bear a cheerleading outfit!! Turns out it was quite a bit farther than he anticipated and took a cab back!!  This was such a great experience for me, to meet with so many influential leaders and participants!
