Ava had a meet in Monessen, Pa on Saturday, March 1.  We had gone to this one last year and it is always a good time.  She was to compete at 1:30, but they were so far behind, they didn't start until 3:00, so it was a long time of sitting/waiting/sitting!  Ava did a great job...a solid beam routine, a minuscule little bobble on floor, great vault, and she got her shoot-through on the bars finally, for the first time in competition!!!! We were screaming!! This particular move has been difficult for her, but she absolutely fought for it and nailed it!!!  She did great, I felt the scores, all-around, were too low, but what are you going to do and Ava had fun, which is all that really matters in the end!!

After the meet we decided to take the kids to Dave & Buster's in Homestead, about 30 minutes away.  It was packed, but while we waited for our table, the kids (and us) played games in the arcade.  The service was s.l.o.w. but the food was awesome and we had a great time!
Congratulations, Ava...again, we all so proud of you!  Only one more home meet and then States!!!!!
