second sunday on king street

last weekend Tim & I head downtown for 2nd sunday on king street...

the city shuts down several blocks of king street to cars so that you can walk on the street while shopping... restaurants put tables out in the street to eat and there are street performers and other food vendors...

it was a beautiful day...sunny but not oppressively hot...  i got a few Alex & Ani bracelets.. we then went to have lunch at a local pub...the Griffon Pub...

on the way back to the car, Tim and I were literally just discussing the AME church, wondering where it was..and we stopped and we were right in front of it... it is just so sad to stand there and picture the heartbreak that occurred there... they still have the pastor's name on the sign..she was one of the victims that day...  makes you thankful for the blessings in one's life...
