oh Christmas tree... times 350!

Andy had an opportunity to earn a few service hours by volunteering at the school to help set up the Christmas tree lot... so we all decided to go and lend a hand... little did we know how much manual labor was involved!... (just for the record, Ava hung out with another little girl, running around having a blast..just sayin')...

all in all, there were only about 8 of us that could physically handle a tree... the tractor trailer was stacked floor to ceiling with cut trees and Tim was the one who pulled them all from the back of the truck to where we unloaded them, one at a time; Andy and I became a team, each of us propping the end of a tree on our shoulders and taking them to the designated spot... it was great when we first started, as the smaller 5-6' trees were unloaded first..easy right!?... then they began getting progressively larger and heavier, up to 8-9' trees.. and we got progressively more tired and sore!  Once they were all unloaded and stacked, we pulled about 15 of each size and had to haul them back over to a large drill that drilled a hole up through the trunk and then we placed them on a posted stand with water... two and a half hours and 350 trees later, we were done :)    utterly exhausted, but done!!!
