Happy Father's Day!

What a great weekend! Saturday we had a baseball game at 4:00 vs. the Nationals and won 13-2 and then Sunday we had to finish a game against the A's at 1:45 and won 3-2, so it was a great baseball weekend. Also on Sunday, we celebrated Father's Day of course. The kids spent part of the day on Friday painting pictures for Tim. Tim and I had been watching Jon and Kate plus 8 (although he would never admit that) and on that episode, the kids painted pictures on canvas for their dad, and Tim said that would be a cool idea to do for the rec. room downstairs. So, that is what we did! I headed to Michael's and bought 3 canvases (I wanted to paint one too!), a bunch of paint and a package of brushes. Andy and Ava had so much fun, and I did too. Painting is very relaxing..we did "abstract" paintings so there would not be any pressure (although Ava swears she painted a sandcastle!!) I truly think he loves them and they are now proudly displayed as you go down the stairs to our rec. room! Oh, P.S. Andy got a phone call this weekend as well to tell him he had been chosen for the All-Stars.....double yeah!!!
